Liana is moored in the bay of Menjangan Resort within the North Bali National Park on 'the other side of Bali', a hide away from the busyness of Kuta, Ubud or Seminyak. A place where you still can enjoy nature in all its beauty. The monsoon forest, the mangroves, the untouched bays, or the different colours of beaches surrounded by colourful clean waters. It has one of the best sites in Indonesia for snorkeling or diving. There are a couple of good resorts that we can recommend to you, besides Menjangan Resort, such as Mimpi Resort, Novus Guana, Waka Shorea or the Matahari Resort in Pemuteran, the closest town to the National Park (see map).
To get from Denpasar it takes about 3 hours by car, with 3 different choices of route:
Road 1 : via Bedugul with mountain scenery (we suggest taking a break at the market there)
Road 2 : via Tabanan and Pupuan for beautiful rice field views and no traffic problems! (have lunch at one of the cozy small restaurants on the side of the road)
Road 3 : via Tabanan and Negara, the highway along the coast (for experienced surfers, take a break at Madewi beach)
